Racial Equity Series: Bias in Healthcare

November 17, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Systemic racism is a real threat to the health of our communities. Racism and other social determinants of health result in higher rates of illness and death among members of racial and ethnic minority groups, as evidenced through COVID-19. Jacksonville Nonprofit Hospital Partnership(JHP), a partnership between Ascension St. Vincent’s, Baptist Health, Brooks Rehabilitation, Mayo Clinic Florida and UF Health Jacksonville, is committed to being part of the solution and has developed the Racial Equity Conference series to increase awareness and understanding of the community at-large and healthcare providers on racial factors that negatively impact the delivery of healthcare.

Session 3:  Bias in Healthcare.
