The application for the 2019 Green Team summer apprenticeship is now available!

The Green Team Youth Corps offers teens the opportunity to earn money for their education while earning community service hours. We spend the summer exploring Jacksonville's outdoors.  Youth apprentices will also meet professionals in science, technology, engineering, art, and math fields. Above all, they make new friends and create positive community change.

Twenty (20) youth apprentices between the ages of 13-18 will be selected.

Most importantly, to be eligible, teens must live, attend schools, or places of worship within the neighborhoods of:

Northshore, Brentwood, Norwood, Brooklyn, New Town, Durkeeville, Phoenix, Downtown, LaVilla, Sugar Hill, College Gardens, Eastside, North Riverside, Lackawanna, Mixon Town, Springfield, Fairfield, Panama Park, Pearl Court, Talleyrand, Robinson’s Addition, and Long Branch, or zip codes 32202, 32204, 32206, 32208, 32209, 32254.

Over four years, we have taken on multiple projects along or within the Emerald Necklace urban neighborhoods. For example, Green Team apprentices host community cleanups, plant trees, build community gardens, install pollinator gardens and bioswales, create public art projects, and much more.
