Public Notice regarding Groundwork Jacksonville’s anticipated submittal for CDBG-Mitigation funds

Groundwork Jacksonville anticipates submitting a project proposal for funding from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity Rebuild Florida Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation General Planning Support Program. To be eligible, applications must request a minimum of $20,000 but will not be approved for more than $10,000,000 in projects.

Groundwork Jacksonville seeks to develop Watershed Restoration and Management Plans for the McCoys and Hogans Watersheds to mitigate flooding throughout these watersheds, as well as address water quality, habitat restoration and recreation. The planning effort will result in a detailed action plan that identifies priority projects, costs and potential funding sources. Comments must be received by August 12, 2020.
